Purpletastic!

I spotted these on a quick and mini lunchtime plod and had to take a quick pic as the purple was so lovely. These are in a newly planted area so it is their first appearance - looks like they will be a great addition to the campus grounds.

Today flew by at work. At one point I was trying to figure out why people were getting so hungry to be eating at 11ish, only to realise that hours had flown by and it was in fact 1.30pm and time for me to get a move on and get some lunch!

Thankfully it is really quiet on campus at the moment so I managed to get out, do a quick circuit and find somewhere to sit and eat my lunch before dashing back. I'll have to be more with it tomorrow! It is a wonder I wasn't starving - I'm usually more than ready for lunch at noon.

I had lots of lovely cards and pressies as it was birthday celebration time for me. As ever, Leo helped me to open them all at the crack of dawn. I am looking forward to trying out my new exercise bike - it promises to be really quiet so that I can pedal along while watching the TV without annoying anyone. It took Ian an age to build tonight so its first proper test run will have to be tomorrow night, I have the truly appalling Piranhaconda recorded and ready to watch so I am planning to pedal along to that. I don't suppose it will do my step totals much good but reckon it will be nice to have a bit if variety.

And at least we didn't end up at the hospital! I read back last year's entry to remember we spent my birthday at the hospital after Dad fell off the ladder whilst trimming the garden back! Luckily, no such drama this year :)
