Renewed vows & Sea Dogs game

We took the kids to a Sea Dogs game tonight. In looking online for more information, we discovered that there was a promotion for tonight's game for all married couples to renew their vows at Hadlock field.

We had called in advance to ensure that the kids would be allowed to join us on the field for this event. The staff were terrific, this is truly a family atmosphere ballpark. They not only allowed them on the field, they encouraged it. BJ & I renewed our vows, they played "At last" by Etta James - and we had our second "first" dance, then they released a pair of white doves. The kids seemed a bit bored by the whole event and anxiously awaited the game to begin.

The game was slow at first, but turned around in the 8th inning - scoring 3 runs. It was enough to win the game. It was exciting to see the kids really focusing on the players throwing, pitching and hitting. Learning a bit more about the game and perhaps it will benefit them in their own games this week.

I love our outings - and the memories made as a family.
