Have you ever seen a horse fly?
And not a horse in sight. :)
I think this is a horse fly(please correct me if I'm wrong)- males drink nectar while females bite animals.

Maybe the saying about a speeding bullet should be changed to...faster than a horse fly?
I know - not even close (modern rifle exit velocity is about 1,700 m/s (5,600 ft/s) but still... that horse fly is fast!
