Sir John Barbirolli

Sir John Barbirolli was conductor of the Halle Orchestra from 1943 to 1970. There are two sculptures of Barbirolli in Manchester. One is a large bust outside the Bridgewater Hall and the other (above), is in the Town Hall sculpture hall.
