A Grey Day

So much for the weather forecasters telling us we would have a fine day in Blenheim. The day dawned grey and bleak and stayed that way. Fergus the dog still enjoyed his very early walk after my session at the gym. I was really rugged up for walking and Keith who had his hair cut very short yesterday resorted to wearing a woolly hat indoors all day.
Heavy snow has fallen in the lower half of the South Island. There is likely to be snow falling in various parts of the North Island including the hill suburbs of Wellington. Children in the snowy areas are lucky in that it is school holiday time. But it is no holiday for the rural community who have the worry of feeding and caring for stock in the snow.
