Beach combing . . .

Mike has been signed off work for a month, and he's trying to do more walking so today we had a drive down to Sandwick and had a lovely walk along the shore, in the sunshine.
Lots of Sandwicks in Orkney, and in Shetland too!  This one is in South Ronaldsay and is a favourite spot.  A great place for beach combing and interesting finds.  This was definitely the best of them - snuggled down safely amongst the stones, we hardly saw him until the last minute.  

Far too many photos to choose from, so I've added a few extra.  When this new feature was brought in I didn't really approve, as I liked the discipline of one photo a day, but on days like this I can see the attraction!
