Mother and Babies

I noticed this female Mallard and her three ducklings swimming on the pond at work this afternoon.   When I left the office they were resting in the sunshine on the bank where I was able to take a few photographs of them.   I thought it was rather late in the season for young to be hatching.

Following on from my dilemma of yesterday, this is what I meant by not being able to edit the thumbnail in advanced uploader, it makes the picture disjointed.
