Big Blip

The Blip is the Cyprus registered Oleg Strashnov, a 40,000 ton heavy load carrier.

She's been anchored there for several days. I don't know if she's just waiting to move on to the next job, or if she's here for a specific reason.

The shot isn't from the best angle, but you're looking at her bow. You can see a small support vessel on her port bow.

She has a massive crane on her stern, and then a large open deck area for carrying whatever "heavy load" is her cargo.

Between the new Forth road bridge under construction just upriver, an aircraft carrier being fitted out at Rosyth (close to the bridge) and the wind turbine construction at Methil, lots of heavy loads come and go around here.
