Ancient Public Baths B&B
This is where we stayed last night, in the medieval city of Provins, perhaps a bit more than 100 km southeast of Paris, where we take our plane back to NYC tomorrow. Provins is an walled medieval town, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2001. These structures housed the public baths at least two centuries ago (I've had difficulty determining the history). This image is only a partial one (I was not envisaging a blip at breakfast this morning). The door to our room is directly behind me, ca. two flights of stone steps up from the fountain below. We ate breakfast yet another flight up, overlooking the same view. The most picturesque lodging I can remember staying in--just wonderful.
We had an excellent meal near Charles De Gaulle Airport at our hotel tonight; tomorrow eight hours to JFK
