March of the pylons

Had a walk this evening around Cocksburn reservoir and I could see several giant pylons under construction. ( see extra photo).
 
 
   
Despite a campaign to stop them which started ten years ago, local opposition has been overruled, and these giant monstrosities are now being installed to carry green energy from wind farms up north to be fed into the national grid.
