Panther

This Florida Panther, Puma concolor,  was kept as a pet and when she was no longer considered 'appropriate' for that purpose she was surrendered to the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter, FL. Since she was raised in captivity and can never be released to the Wild, she will live her life out at the Sanctuary. She and several other panthers live in 'large' state-of-the-art enclosures. They look 'happy' enough but...
The Sanctuary has a Rehab Hospital and accept animals and birds in need of medical attention. The 'extra photos' today are two more of this panther and one of an Eastern Screech-owl. I fully intended to participate in TinyTuesday, but I couldn't let this beauty pass by.
