In Between Days

Ferry

Backblip. Not a lot of sleep. I was worried packing the car would take longer than I hoped and worried about getting stuck in traffic so I was up at 2:30 am. We managed to set off at 4:30. The sat nav insisted on trying to take us through central London which was odd until we realised it was set to avoid tolls. This led to a bit of a detour but we made the ferry pretty much on time. Here is Louis on the ferry doing some colouring in. I think I had a little nap and before I knew it we were in France. It's always a bit nerve wracking getting off the ferry because it's straight onto the motorways driving on the right. It was good to be in France again and I soon settled into the drive. Motorways empty, sun shining and beautiful countryside. Arrived at the campsite at around tea time. We've been here twice before and it's pretty much how we remember.
