Clearance Cairn

One of the commemorative cairns marking the site of one of the many villages cleared to allow the land to be used for sheep by landowners.
Got a lovely walk in sun, although there were heavy showers before and after.
Crossing a burn, I was buzzed by swifts! I'd seen them feeding swooping low over the burn and stopped to see if I could get a picture. One came so close I felt the rush of air from its wings.Thought it had made a mistake, until it did it again and actually touched me! Never had that before! Didn't get a picture!
