Rooooooooot!

First day of the first Ashes test of the summer. Turned out to a propitious blip I took just after midday while I was having my lunch.

This is Root coming to the wicket with three wickets down for not very many runs. A few hours later he was eventually out for 134. Superb.

England closed on 340 odd for 7. I reckon the game is pretty evenly balanced. England marginally ahead... Maybe!

A good start to the series though.
