The Best. Technically
1. No breakfast outside this morning, but it's a tasty affair. We leave a little earlier than the rest to get back to town.
2. I have about an hour or so to get ready for the CATS Awards (Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland). I go through hair, heels and dress anxiety but make it through the other side to be left with winning or losing anxiety.
3. Colin says I have the best dress in the room. He kind of has to say that, but it's nice to hear anyway.
4. Five Minute Theatre was technically audacious and it absolutely would not have happened without the genius of Niall Black, the skill and dedication of Seth Hardwick and the seemingly limitless capacity for fear and fun that the small team who produced this possess. It took a team of 60 people to make FMT happen on the day - including each and every member of NTS staff and I thank each and every one of them. Thanks too to Hannah and Envirodigital and Robert at STV for being our perfect partners. But mostly I thank the 1000 or so people - many of them in this room today - who joined in and the 1000s more who switched on and logged on to watch what they created. They took our technical ambition and they made it fly. Together we made something extraordinary and I say thank you to them and, if I may, accept this award on their behalf. Thank you.
5. That was my speech. This is my dress. And this is me with him
