Skerray Harbour

We did a wee detour on the way back from Bettyhill to visit this remote little harbour.
Earlier we visited sad ruins in Strathnavar. The vicious and forced evictions of "the clearances" are a shameful and atrocious part of our history.  Over a thousand people were removed from this glen alone.
Ironic that around the world today we still have poor souls taking involuntary (in that they have no other real choice) voyages in squalid conditions to an uncertain future; if they survive the trip.
