Rotoiti Dragon

I had a great catch up with a friend in Blenheim today.  The intention had been to catch up over a coffee - but it extended to 3 hours of cuppa, lunch and another cuppa.  Wonderful.

Then I drove on up to Lake Rotoiti (Nelson Lakes National Park) where  Sarah, Ben and Sebastian met me.  It was snowing which was neat, but it was very dry light snow which just melted when it landed. 

Sebastian told me this washed up branch was a dragon.  

We had a lovely time skipping throwing stones, watching the ducks and taking photos.  Then back in our vehicles and headed home to my place.  My old van is pretty slow so they beat me here and the fire was going by the time I arrived.  Very nice!
