Edinburgh's Flower Clock

The Flower Clock in Princes Street Gardens is an institution, and visitors and locals alike enjoy it.   This year the floral display celebrates Edinburgh's UNESCO City of Literature status.  As you can see it is still being planted out.
This type of bedding is known as 'Victorian Carpet Bedding' ( I learnt this on my garden History Module), and involves the use of many succulents.
I had a lovely morning in town with a friend who is just recovering from a bad accident.
