Dropwort

An attractive plant growing on the limestone slopes of Arnside Knott. It is related to the better known Meadowsweet.
It grows on dry pastures in much of Europe and into Asia. Mostly on lime.
Its name comes from the Latin filum (thread) and pendulus (hanging), the tubers hanging like drops from the roots.
