The Pioneer Club

After the funeral service, we headed to the Pioneer Club (or the cluuuuuurb if you speak with a north-east accent).

I have mixed feelings about this drinking establishment. Most of my family have spent some time in here, some of them too much time!  I'm surprised it's still open.

It was good to see my family, extended relations and old school friends of my cousin. A very emotional day for many reasons.

Apparently, according to this certificate it's been a member of the Working Men's Club and Institute Union for 100 years! Is that good?
