A Pitcher of Pink Peonies
A stay-at-home day today while I finished off this week's MOOC module. It's really interesting and fun too, which I certainly didn't expect. We were asked to transcribe a 17th century manuscript, which turned out to be a rather odd remedy for a fever involving hops, currants and wrist-bands (don't ask!) Some of the student's efforts were unintentionally hilarious, as they struggled with the strange writing and spellings:-)
My husband was also busy cleaning and re-hanging the curving shower doors in the en suite. Not as easy as he had thought and we remembered (too late) the original plumber turning the air blue as he tried to fit it:-) It's all done now, with shiny new fittings, so well done that man!
Some of the peonies in the garden have so many flower heads that they crowd each other out, so I picked some for indoors and will enjoy watching them open. Hope you like them too:-)
