Oradour-sur-Glane

Back Blip.
We visited this memorial today.
On 10th June 1944 "the S.S. carried out a well conceived plan to annihilate a village and any possible witnesses". 642 men, women and children died that day in the most horrific circumstances. Then village was left as it was on the orders of General de Gaulle so that future generations should not forget. I just hope that the image I have chosen reflects some of the horror of that day.
