Punky Duck

This muscovy duck was spotted hiding amongst the daisies on a small island in the Lainsitz, a river in Gmünd, the next town. I have never seen one around here before but they been reported in Austria in the wild for around 30 years. Hubby didn't disappoint me by shouting 'LUNCH!' when we saw the ducks-
A much cooler day with some heavy rain showers this afternoon. We  had coffee and cake with friends then took Hubby's sister and niece on a trip down memory lane from S-I-L's childhood. We walked to the old Czech border crossing then walked around the historical old town in Gmünd. We went to a well known traditional Landwirt (country inn) for our evening meal. We stopped by the stork nest on the way home as niece was very keen to see them. We saw one of the fledgling storks fly off but the adult birds were still feeding some in the nest. Hopefully, we will still be able to watch them as they apparently return to the nest to be fed in the evenings for a while (see extra).
