Juvenile.....

.....Bald Eagle.  It's parent was 2 trees over to the left, keeping watch. I can't tell you how long I stood there with the camera waiting for them to fly off, & I finally caught the young one in flight, but the elder eagle stayed on his perch until well after I left for a walk. My niece was out fishing for a bit  & she said the mature eagle stayed up there for at least another 5 minutes before swooping off in the direction of it's young one!  I put a few pics in the extras--my niece on the jet ski, the young eagle in flight & the area around the cottage.  Such a beautiful day!  :))
