Padstow

Now, I am pretty sure the rest of you Blippers are making up all the rain you are saying you have..........I hate to say it, honestly, I do but it is blazing sunshine here. I even had to buy a pair of sunglasses!!

Mum and her hubby stayed home today so we just went out with Si's parent's today. Mum is going in for a double hernia Op tomorrow morning so she wanted to take it easy - she is coming up to our house at the weekend to celebrate her 60th birthday, so she has lots of packing to do too. We headed to Fistral Beach for a wander and stopped off at The Headlands hotel for a cappucino. They were filming an adaptation of a Rosamund Pilcher book and we had a chat with the extras - it was about a baking competition!

We then went to Padstow - we bought 6 cakes from Rick Stein's shop MiL had to take out a second mortgage for it as well as some relishes for the BBQ we are having tonight. We went to the pub for refreshments where we got chatting to a couple who run a chip shop on The Rock. We could have stayed all evening talking and drinking BUT we that's the Royal 'we'had an England game to get back for.

We have just lit the BBQ during half time ready for after the game. Seriously, it is so darn hot here, I honestly can't believe there are flood warnings!! The temperature gauge says 23C!!!!!
