Drama in the Sky
A truly beautiful sunset gave a lift to a day of rather dull light today. We had driven 5 hours to see the white limestone cliffs of the Dun Gobi province which are more of a conglomerate, creating bubbly looking ravines with erosive forces of wind and rain. They look very odd sticking up out of the steppe surrounding them on all sides. I spent a rediculous amount of time trying to anchor the tripod in a vicious wind, to take some poor pictures of a nesting hawk (see the extra photo, I have no idea what kind it is). I loved the other extra photo of Gaby on top of the cliffs after the other tourists had left, feeling the vastness of this place.
