What pathway to choose?

Turned down the offer of some time-consuming, well-paid work today. It involved returning to an old project of mine, and I decided that time was past - my focus is elsewhere now.

Too often in the past I've let offers of work take me in directions that were enjoyable and even lucrative, but the result was a scattershot career. The old saying is right: being jack of all trades tends to preclude mastery.

So I'm trying to be discipline, not let myself get distracted by shiny things that aren't on the pathway I'm pursuing. Let's see where it leads. Onwards!
