Thomas Coats Memorial Church, Paisley
This is a fascinating building - it is often known as the Baptist Church's very own "cathedral." I had never visited it before but found myself outside it today.
If the Taj Mahal was built as a grand memorial to the tomb of an Indian Mughal's dead wife, then this place is the Scottish equivalent.
Built by the Coats family, famed the world over for the production of threads for the weaving industry, the church was built to commemorate the death of one of its founders, Thomas Coats.
What a memorial!!!!!!
