Mellow Yellow

There are plenty of Evening Primrose(Oenothera biennis) around here, they like sandy soils and waste places. They are more closely related to the willow herb than to the primrose family. It grows 2~3 ft tall and has fragrant flowers which open on summer evenings and are pollinated by night-flying moths.
