Life from city to village

A rose by any other name...

A busy day - back in the office where people had been a little stressed, and I have spent almost the entire day sorting out FOI requests. I wonder if people realise the amount of money the NHS could save if we didn't have to answer FOI requests. We are obliged to spend up to 18 hours on each one, and barely a week goes by without one relating to my department.

Most of the flowers in the garden, bar the roses, are begging to look a little faded now, past their best. This is one rose I rescued when I first bought the house - it had almost gone wild, but has been trimmed back, and now comes out with the most amazing blooms.
