Time well spent
I spent a very rare but glorious whole day with Etta Lee today, just the two of us as the other two sisters are away at their Grannies for a wee holiday.
Having the girls away and getting the opportunity to experience living life as a one child family really magnifies how bonkers our lives have become since have three kids. In some ways I feel slightly weightless and purposeless. Getting out of the house is easy, not a preplanned major event. Sorting out clothes for just one other (non fussy) person is a breeze, no sustained stress at meal times and bed time is almost negligible... Christ what were we thinking?
It's a nice novelty but I feel a bit lost... Spending time with Etta independently is bloody wonderful however. She is really showing her true colours with our full attention and is predictably pretty radge, remarkably on the ball and radiates trouble at all times.
I love this age and it is really special to be able to soak it up for a wee bit without the daily mentalness that is our life. Big up the Ettlee, she fecking rocks, it's terrifying.
