West Crosscauseway
As promised, we're back. Live. In the room.
Another one of the early 2015 array that appeared all across the southside of town. The trademark underline, the triple stripe above. Block capitals.
To get to this today, I was up around 6, post migraine bleurgh, packed up and stripped beds, dressed children, switched off water and power and was on the pier around 0715; checking in. A roll and sausage and 60 minutes of fairly smooth crossing, we were back on the road behind 4 JBT 40 tonne artics to Wick.
Petrol was taken on and we resumed, pausing briefly in Helmsdale for toilet, to buy a cuddly puffin (subsequently named Chubby after a discussion than spanned 4 counties and 3 and a half hours) and view the Joseph Beuys exhibition before dining on chips in Aviemore. Another 2 hours of moderate traffic on the A9 in variable weather conditions before the DVD of Jack was wheeled out to get us the last 90 miles home. Back In Edinburgh, I then had to haul her portmanteau up three flights of stairs, sort her adult son's bed before taking out the rubbish and finally - 10.5 hours into the day, 317 miles and several nautical miles too, I swung past this, pointed the camera out of the badly parked car on a double yellow line and got this shot.
Will this do?
