...bitter! They look lovely but these cherries are a little too sour to eat! No doubt the birds will love them.

Walk around one of the lakes near Hedgeley mid-afternoon. Wild flowers and grasses of all sorts in abundance - absolutely beautiful. Then on to the supermarket, calling in to the DIY shop next-door to look at pots for the courtyard. No pots we liked, but they did have just one Fuji cherry tree in stock - I've been searching for one to replace the Fuji cherry that we left in the garden in Allanton - and it was hugely reduced in price. Brilliant!
