Our local artisan bakers was the pit stop after the Rotary litter-pick at the castle and surrounds including the riverbank.

Fifteen red bags filled with assorted detritus was the product of two hours work. Other items included a bike, a football, a bucket-complete with hole and a number of tennis balls.

At the nearby café,owned by the baker, the confectionary on offer today included this chocolate covered sensation complete with sunflower decoration and on the inside the sponge was layered with chocolate cream!
