Kelpie on the loose

This is a maquette - ( a sculptor's scale model) - of one of the Kelpies which form a gigantic and interesting piece at Falkirk. This guy is currently sited at Edinburgh's West End and will prove an attraction at Edinburgh Festival next month.
      However, visitors beware  --- a Kelpie is said to be a water spirit in the shape of a horse which takes delight in drowning travellers. Let's hope for a sunny dry August!
