Community

Over the years the camino has changed. With the influx of pilgrims, it has turned into a business for many. We are fortunate to be in a wonderful albugue in G.... Ernesto's family has owned the land for 105 years. After the Guerra Civil they had to leave due to famine. Ernesto, a priest, returned 33 years ago to rebuild the house. It now welcomes pilgrims and is donativo. People can contribute what they can/ want. Dinner tonight was for 67 and was delicious. He has created an oasis here for both pilgrims and the local community.
