Ghost
Miss Willmott's Ghost, Eryngium giganteum at dusk when I returned from spending the day in hospital with Ruth. We arrived in A&E just after midnight, I came home for a sleep at 5am and was back at lunchtime in the (unfulfilled) hope she might be coming home.
Neurolgist tells us that pain can interrupt messages from the brain which accounts for the reduced feeling and strength in her legs. Everything still works, just the messages telling her legs what to do are being disrupted. Tomorrow physio will look at getting her mobile again .... and Ruth will look at the tennis final via Skype as there are no TVs in the Acute Medical Unit :-(
