Free Range Lambs.

On the other side of this hedge is a field.

A field with sheep, and lambs, and some chickens.

On this side of the hedge is a (thankfully wide) grass verge, and a footpath, and a quite busy 'A' road.

It is common to find a few of the chickens on the wrong side of the hedge, but today a couple of lambs had joined them.
