The Hive - Waiting for the Babes

This very active hive is right outside my Aunt's garage door. While taking this photo,  it looked like several of the eggs were trying to hatch.  This was really freaky to look at but cool at the same time.  

Today's blip was a brief but welcomed distraction from today.  My aunt took a bad spill last night and have been with her ever since.  She did not want to go to the hospital but finally agreed late this afternoon.  Good thing we went because they found that her hip is fractured. She is in her eighties and with other existing health conditions,  we are not sure that she will be up to the surgery.  Will be meeting with the various surgeons in the AM to determine what is in her best interest.  We do know that without the surgery, she will never walk again.
