Sore throat - again

Yet again I've got a sore throat. I'm trying to cure it with all sorts of means. Last time I tried Lemsip which was successful, this time I'm trying Schuessler Salts and Homeopathy. A friend recommended going to see a doctor. If it continues I will have to I suppose.

Trying to keep my head together despite this cold, keeping work and family going. Had a chat with a friend today and realised that despite me complaining every so often my life is reasonably uncomplicated and I should be grateful for this.

I'm nearly finished with my book, 'a heart so white' by Javier Marias. Had picked it up at a booksale a year ago because of the cover (a photograph by Man Ray, "L'Espagnole") and I find it's a really good read. The long sentences remind me of Thomas Mann. I shall go back to Thomas Mann after this book unless I feel like something that gets read a bit more quickly, will see.
