Learning how to learn
Roedd Thrinlé ein hathrawes ni am bopeth sy'n ymwneud â gwneud yurts. Addysgodd hi ni am dorri a siapio pren. Dwedodd hi ei fod e'n bwysig i 'dysgu sut i ddysgu' - ddylwn ni ddim yn rhuthro, a meddwl ein bod ni'n gwybod beth i wneud. Dylwn ni gweithio yn araf tan rydyn ni'n deall yr offer a dulliau. Roedd e'n gyngor da. Daethon ni'n raddol yn gyfarwydd gyda 'spokeshave' a 'drawknife' a'r dull ageru a phlygu..
Thrinlé was our teacher about everything involved in making Yurts. She taught us about cutting and shaping wood. She said that it's important to 'learn how to learn' - we should rush, and think we know what to do. We should work slowly until we understand the tools and methods. It was good advice. We gradually became familiar with 'spokeshave' and 'drawknife' and the method of steaming and bending.
