Billy n0-mates

Who ate all the pies worms?!!

Went to the park, early evening, hoping to see the little Pied Wagtails on the grass as on a previous visit around the same time.
Nothing doing.
Apart from the ubiquitous gulls, this chubby Chaffinch was the only bird I actually saw, although there was plenty of bird song all around.

He stayed on the same branch whole time I was there and was singing his heart out.
If he was trying to pull...he wasn't having much luck!

A recent documentary about Chaffinches mentioned, surprisingly, that it's actually the smaller birds who attract more mates as they're more agile at evading predators.
So feeding well doesn't necessarily make you Alpha.

(Detail not very sharp. He was way high up on a branch so a very long distance shot, cropped to within an inch of it's life)

The alternate (slightly sharper) shot for today is IF I WERE A BEE heh, heh.
you decide if I chose right

Have had a horrid few days of dental problems - found work difficult but spending time browsing on Blip was a good distraction from the pain.

Even so it became so unbearable I couldn't hold on to see the dentist
- and yanked it out early this morning.
The relief was instantaneous...once I'd come round from the faint that it brought on!

Wouldn't recommend it - but probably save a few grand
(or is that just my dentist?)

exciting incidence of synchronicity today, connected to photos - hope to follow that up on a future Blip
