Getting dug in
There was a sandcastle building competition on the beach at Rosemarkie today. I had to smile as most of the competitors were adults including these two gentleman who were really trying hard and making a good job of it. There were some great castles, a pyramid and a few Nessies. It was wonderful seeing everyone taking part and all the problem solving going on. Countless trips to the sea to bring more water as the sand started to dry in the SUN. We watched one little boy build his own castle single handed, no moaning just getting on with it and laughing at his little dog as it came dangerously close. I hope he won a prize !
The three little children in the extra caught my eye , I could feel their delight as they ran along the sand to the sea.
The car is going in for a service tomorrow so Mike took it to Avoch to use the jet wash machine. It' all sparkling clean now.
We went to Munros garden centre for lunch, Mike had soup and I had a very nice Prawn Sandwich and a cup of tea. I was not tempted by any plants but was tempted by the fresh local strawberries and raspberries , strawberry sauce and pink , fizzy lemonade.
We even treated ourselves to a small tub of Black Isle icecream that we ate watching the sailing boats zoom along in the wind, Some toppling over and the rescue boat going out to pull them up again.
Home to watch the tennis and now singing long to The proclaimers :)))
