Mrs Puddleduck

This white duck seems to spend the Winter at the local park on the River Chew.But returns to the Moat in the Summer months.I suppose to breed ?
  In fact I think there are quite a few of the population that do the same trip.
Moving water in the river is possibly a little warmer than the still water of the Moat lake?
   What ever the reason they are a welcome site.
