Afghanistan

Took my parents to watch Afghanistan play T20 cricket against Scotland. The game was entertaining but the most memorable feature was the Afghanistan supporters. If I didn't know their colourful gold-braided flag before, I do now! There were lots of them in traditional dress, particularly some women and girls whose colours matched those of the flag. Such a contrast from the loud and drunk Scotland supporter near us (and maybe the only such in the ground). Although he was amusing at times , we really could have done without him!

For the record, Afghanistan scored an impressive 210-5 [their record score] and Scotland made a brave attempt to chase it, finishing on 173 all out.
