What's all the fuss about?
Well this one and it's siblings. Appears our garden is a nursery to at least 3 blackbird chicks who have outgrown their nest but yet to acquire flight feathers to allow them to become airborne.
Cue, the cat and her unerring sense of hearing. Today has been a constant vigil to stop the cat heading into the borders to zero in on the helpless young. It would help matters if the chicks would at least stay in deep cover. This one decided to walk across the lawn in the late afternoon, right in front of our cat's nose. It was almost very messy!
