Secret Coast Scarecrows

The area around Tighnabruaich is now calling itself "Argyll's Secret Coast" and is building on that marketing ploy with some imaginative and interesting events.

Last year they started a scarecrow competition and this year the "Secret Coast scarecrows" are back by popular demand. It is non competitive but it brings out the best in the community who are likely to beat last year's total of 80 with a range of impressive exhibits scattered about the village and outlying areas.

Today on the way back from Tarbert I was particularly impressed with the "Alice in Wonderland" scarecrows at Millhouse and these portraits of some of the primary school community , displayed in the school playground.
