Home grown...
...there's nothing quite like it...especially when it's the first of the season.
Ok, just 6 little strawberries but boy, were they delicious :)
I'd had a pants day today...a really early start and a late finish at work. I left work worrying about all I hadn't got done and then I came home and sat on the sofa. Bad move! I didn't think I was ever going to get up...but I forced myself down to the allotment as I knew my greenhouse plants needed watering.
So, I get greeted by my shiny strawberries and my day is complete...or so I thought. I set to weeding...it's the thing I hate most but still get satisfaction from a weed free bit of land! Someone had forgotten their key to get into the allotments so I wander up to the entrance to let him in and another man was just leaving...he offered me some caulflowers, sprouts and red cabbages to plant out...YAY!!! All the things I'd not got round to doing yet so I was SOOOOO grateful.
It's the little things...I love how that made my day properly complete and filled my tummy full of sunshine....(and the strawberries helped obviously)
