Winter lambs

Lambs are supposed to be a sign of spring. 

These little guys still trailing the remnant of their umbilical chord, arrived today in the paddock at Shakespear Regional Park, on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, smack in the middle of a gigantic Antarctic vortex, which has sent temperature plummeting to record low, not only in New Zealand, but also across 2/3 of continental eastern Australia - causing frost in Cairns.
