Spoonbills - first for a while
Mr S and I went to the estuary gardens this afternoon. It was such a cracking day. Two spoonbills were hoovering right beside the path. The closest I have ever got to them. Only about 4 metres away. Mr S had never seen them close at all. So I said he was the lucky charm. He might go again. We stood and watched for ages. Took a few photos and then they moved on. People and dogs walking past didn't bother them.
The problem with spoonbills on a sunny day is always burnout of their white feathers. I forgot to put on a filter in my excitement.
